Dev takes on the role of Graduate
Underwriter and will undertake the company’s comprehensive bespoke internal
training programme which covers the whole lending process as well as the finer
details of valuations, planning processes and legals.
He will also be given
immediate firsthand underwriting experience, supporting the underwriting team
while managing supervised caseloads.
Recently, Era Sella joined as
a Trainee Credit Analyst having achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Money, Banking
& Finance from the University of Birmingham. As a member of Aspen's
in-house valuations function she will acquire RICS accreditations in
residential and commercial valuation methodology.
Jack Coombs, Chief Operating Officer at S&U
PLC, parent company of Aspen, has previously described its GRS as a
cornerstone of the business with many of its intake playing pivotal roles as it
nears £1 billion in total lending.
He
said: “Recently we were proud to announce that Saif Khalique, one of the very
first to join through the GRS in 2019, had been promoted to a newly established
Director of Underwriting role. Many others are also now sitting in prominent
leadership positions.
“Dev
and Era are joining a programme with a strong track record of developing
talented people whilst giving them real responsibility in their roles, and
we're pleased to have them join in what is an exciting chapter for the business.”
